NAIJ.com gathered that Fayemi, who quit Presient Buhari’s cabinet as minister of mines and steels development, said this jokingly on Wednesday, June 6, during a valedictory session in his honour at the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. During a reception organised for him at the APC Secretariat in Ado Ekiti, Fayemi had escaped a gunshot where a member of the seventh House of Representatives and governorship aspirant in Ekiti state, Opeyemi Bamidele and five other persons were shot. It was reported that the bullets came from the rifle of a mobile policeman who was among those deployed in the place to ensure security.
